About the role

Data lies at the very heart of everything we do. Our Data Science team plays a key role in leveraging data to ensure the organisation’s collective success. The team acts as compass for guiding tough business decisions and answering difficult questions.

We’re looking for an individual that will be essential in driving growth and value for our credit scoring, credit distribution and product development efforts. You’ll help make strategic decision-making easier by riding on the pulse of mobile consumer data, conducting keen analysis and distilling actionable insights.

We’re a fast-moving, agile and collaborative environment, so the role also be a good opportunity to work closely with other experienced data professionals, individuals and teams across various functions and departments. The team members you interact with may not always speak “data” fluently, so you should be able to communicate actionable insights, concepts and trends in a relatable manner.

 

What will you do?

  • Understand business needs and requirements, be curious and ask the important questions.
  • Enable effective strategic decision-making by analysing data from multiple sources and crafting them into practical formats and reports by using BI reporting frameworks, tools and data marts.
  • Develop presentations that vividly and clearly communicate your analytical results and actionable insights for a diverse range of audiences.
  • Work closely with other relevant internal teams to ensure that information and reports are delivered like clockwork.
  • Implement automation of reporting and dashboards; maintain contents and quality of databases.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related fields. Masters is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications for Jaspersoft, Pentaho and/or any other BI solution would be an additional advantage.
  • Preferrably at least 1 year of experience working in:
    • Jaspersoft, Pentaho and/or Talend; and/or
    • BI users to gather requirements and design solutions; and/or
    • Data analysis, excel and PowerPoint; and/or
    • Writing scripts for SQL/MySQL manipulation and building reports and dashboards with any business intelligence tool such as Tableau, QlikView, Microstrategy or equivalent
  • Fresh graduates with relevant degrees and outstanding results will be considered


Essential Skills

  • Able to engage with various users to translate business requirements into data requirements.
  • Good understanding of dimensional modelling and data warehouse concepts.
  • Strong project management, verbal and written communication skills.

Position Summary

The Service and Support Analyst provides first line helpdesk support and first level troubleshooting of incidents reported by internal and external customers. The person occupying this position assists customers to log, process and works closely with other tiers of the technical support function to secure the restoration and resolution of hardware, software and any other incidents and problems that affect the performance of systems deployed and in production. The Service and Support analyst also handles enquiries, information requests and service requests from customers via phone, email or fax and serves as the primary contact and coordination point for system preventative maintenance and upgrade/enhancement activities. This position is additionally responsible for performing routine system health-checking, generating statistical reports and performing data and trend analysis to assure system and service performance are maintained at the expected levels.

Principal Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for delivering first level post-system implementation maintenance and support services on a timely basis per service level agreement(s)
  • To perform first level troubleshooting by logging, capturing, clarifying, understanding, tracing and analyzing issues and incidents reported by customers, with emphasis on effectively documenting facts and gathering the data required for further escalation and root cause analysis with/by the next tier of technical support.
  • To serve as the primary liaison between the internal operational teams and customers for technical related support issues.
  • To provide routine support and regular status report(s) to internal and external customers on timely basis for close monitoring system health and tracking of system incidents and problems.
  • Responsible for performing daily, weekly & monthly system health-checking and the generation and analysis of statistical reports to assure system and service performance to expected levels.
  • To provide daily, weekly & monthly revenue analysis and review reports to identify potential revenue leakages, service and system usage trend(s) to support the business team.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree holder in Computer/Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science/Information Technology.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience, working experience in telecom industry is advantageous.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant degrees and outstanding results will be considered


Essential Skills

  • Experience in Networking, Windows, Linux
  • Knowledge of MS SQL, MySQL and SQL scripting
  • Able to multi-task effectively
  • Good English oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Research and explore new technologies in line with the product strategy and development direction.
  • Participate in the design, development, testing, maintenance and support of software application and components.
  • Work closely with the teams to deliver quality software in time.


Requirements

    • Competent in Java programming language
    • Prior experience with RDBMS (i.e. MySQL 5.x, MariaDB 10.x)
    • 2 years and above of development experience will be an added advantage

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.

  • Demonstrable portfolio of released applications on the App store or the Android market

  • Knowledgeable in Shell scripting on UNIX platforms
